Membership Procedure

INSTITUTE OF SAFETY PROFESSIONALS OF NIGERIA (ISPON)

 

The Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria (ISPON) Act, 2014 (Act No. 2) publish in the Federal Republic of Nigeria Official Gazette No 62, Vol 101 (Government Notice No. 72) Lagos- 20th May, 2014, signed into law on the 19th Day of May, 2014, formally established by the Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria (ISPON) as a body corporate with perpetual succession and commons seal.

 

TO BECOME A MEMBER PROCEDURES

INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP PROCEDURES

Write an application for membership addressed to the Registrar through the Chairman (of the State / Branch. Depending on your location) and submit with photocopies of credentials.

Purchase membership form with non-refundable fee of 50,000 Naira.

Make payment for screening with a non-refundable fee of 15,000 Naira

Return completed form with photocopies of credentials, updated CV/Resume, passport photograph, proof of payment for form and screening fees. 

Write a project on any safety topics from a list that will be shown to you and Submit soft copy.

Get prepared for both written and oral interview on the day that will be fixed and communicated to you.

Applicant must have at least 1 year work experience in safety field

Applicants must have done ISPON HSE Competence Level 2 & 3. Courses.

Please note that induction fees, Membership dues, and workshop fees are expected to be paid after screening before induction.

CORPORATE MEMBERSHIP PROCEDURES. 

A letter of intent for ISPON Corporate membership registration addressed to the President through the Chairman (of the State / Branch. Depending on your location) on company’s letter head to initiate the registration process. The letter should accompany supporting documents, including CAC registration documents (Certificate of Incorporation, Forms CO2 and CO7) and company profile. 

Purchase membership form with non-refundable fee of 150,000 Naira.

Make payment for screening and audit with a non-refundable fee of 100,000 Naira

Return completed form with the following documents:

Proof payment for form and screening /audit fees. 

CAC registration documents (Certificate of Incorporation, Forms CO2 and CO7).

Safety Policy/ Progrmme.

Evidence of safety policy of employees

HSE audit report / Inspection report.

Completed Corporate membership registration Checklist.

Company profile.

Organisational structure.

Medical retainer ship certificate or agreement. 

Tax Clearance.

And any other relevant Documents.
