ISPON President joins Federal Task Force on Transport Safety

The  Joint National Transport Safety Committee inaugurated a Transport Safety Task Force on 6th of March, 2024  to drive road safety compliance and ensure safety of  road haulage systems across the country. Delivering his address, The National President of ISPON, Engr. Timothy Iwuagwu FISPN  emphasized that the law is not for traffic officers to lay ambush for traffic offenders but to help Nigerians not to commit offences. He encouraged all stakeholders to continue in collaboration towards making Nigeria safe.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Taiwo Mogbujuri, National Chairman of the Joint National Transport Safety Committee disclosed that the Task Force will work to proffer solutions to the challenges posed by frequent haulage and petrol truck accidents in Nigeria. He added that the theme for this year is focused on "Implementation of Safe Truck Transportation System in Nigeria."
